Talking Book

On a whim for my presentation, I searched Microsoft Powerpoint's clip-art reserve for "knowledge." Virtually every picture that appeared featured a book of some sort (along with sometimes an owl). This is quite contrary to the many ways of knowing that we are aware of. Specifically, it leaves out THREE ways of knowing. What would be a better image for knowledge, considering IB's 4 Ways of Knowing?

  1. The IB TOK WOK diagram, of course! But actually, I think that a book is still a decent way to represent it. I understand though, what about the other three ways of knowing? But, a brain would be a really good one? Am I right, or am I right? You need a brain for logic. Your emotions are part of your brain, right? Language is from the brain. And your sensory stuff comes from the brain too. I dunno, just the first thing that popped into my mind.

  2. Definitely a brain, yes. Or four pictures together: A book, a heart, an eye/nose/ear/hand,a math problem? Ha. Very difficult.
